You can book your own travel online, but you won't have access to our contacts at destinations and carriers. You won't know what perks, discounts, and upgrades are available only to members of Virtuoso. You won't have the sales-volume clout to negotiate customization. And you won't have a partner to rescue you if something goes wrong.

How we plan a leisure trip
Leisure travel is the part of the year people protect most fiercely, and the part they most often get wrong on their own. Too many stops, too little recovery, hotels booked on photographs, and a first day spent solving problems that should have been solved months earlier.
Our planning starts with the shape of the trip rather than the inventory. How many nights before the group needs to slow down? Which two or three experiences are non-negotiable? Who in the party is being quietly accommodated, and what would make it genuinely good for them? Only after that do we choose hotels, guides and routing.
We plan honeymoons and anniversaries, multi-generational family trips, reunions, safaris, villa stays, food and wine journeys, rail journeys, and around-the-world itineraries. Because we book across every preferred partner rather than one supplier, the recommendation follows the trip, not a contract.
